Hi!
I opened up a Q&A on Instagram yesterday. Not something I do often, because I don’t really believe in over-explaining anymore. But SOMETIMES? Sure. This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s a report. A tone-setter. A line in the sand. Because BRÛLÉ isn’t just a brand. It’s the result of everything I (we’ve all) been becoming.
You asked. I answered. Let’s begin.
Q: If you had a crisis and let your health and mojo slip, what would you do to bounce back?
A:
I don’t believe in “bouncing back.” That phrase sounds like performance — like the goal is to snap into place for other people. That’s not how I work.
If I’m in a crisis, I strip it down to nothing. No hacks, no distractions, no outside opinions. I stop outsourcing my intuition and get back to rhythm: water, fruit, silence, sun, movement.
Clarity comes from subtraction. Always. I don’t rebuild fast. I rebuild clean.
I recently reinvested in Skinny & Full because it’s everything I stand for. Obviously.
Q: One regret and one lesson from this past year?
A:
Regret? Giving too much time and thought to thinking I was lost, when I was actually just disconnected from my true dream. I sabotaged what I knew deep down I was here to do.
Lesson? Trust. Trust in the timing, the path, and the pauses. Sometimes, when it feels like nothing’s happening — everything is shifting. You’re not stuck. You’re being rerouted.
Now I trust faster. I release faster. I say no without guilt and move toward what makes sense in my body, not just on paper. That’s the real shift.
Q: How did you start your business? Any tips?
A:
I’ve started every business I’ve ever had by just starting. Not overthinking. Just moving. Trial and error. Big mistakes. A lot of them. But also? Momentum. Learning through doing. Real-world feedback. I’ve dabbled in multiple industries, reinvented more than once, and now — six years later — I finally feel like I got this.
My tip? Don’t wait until it’s perfect. Don’t wait until you’re ready. Let the world be your classroom. Build something you would die to wear. Be so committed to your taste it scares people. Don’t scale until you’ve earned identity. Make it better than they expect. Then make it yours.
Q: Isn’t the market too saturated? Everyone’s doing the same thing…
A:
Yes. And that’s exactly why I don’t participate in it now.
We’re in an era of duplication. Same factories. Same formulas. Same girls saying the same things under the same lighting. Even wellness has become a performance. No one’s questioning what’s in the product — or the intention behind it. It’s all just output. Noise. Content.
BRÛLÉ is the opposite of that. I’ve redesigned everything — the model, the messaging, the pace. I don’t want fast fashion. I don’t overproduce. I work with a local factory in LA, oversee every detail, and make only what’s ordered.
It takes courage to do it differently. But after years of observing this space, I know in my gut: this is the future.
This isn’t about virality. It’s about values. Truth wins. Always.
Q: Do you ever feel lonely?
A:
Sure — but when I think about it? Not really.
I do feel aware. Aware that I live differently. That I think differently. That my tolerance for surface-level connection is low.
I’ve spent a lot of time alone. And in that, I’ve realized I’m not chasing peace. I’m chasing precision. And solitude gives me that. My best decisions come from silence. My best ideas come when I’m off the map.
I’m not afraid of being alone. I’m afraid of wasting time trying to belong to rooms I’ve outgrown.
Q: What’s next?
A:
I’m moving to the heart of Los Angeles to finish what I started. Not to find myself — but to build fully.
BRÛLÉ deserves my complete energy. My full bandwidth. The sharpest version of me. And LA gives me the proximity, the production control, the light, the discipline. This is the environment that matches the clarity I’ve earned.
For years, I tried to find alignment in places that were calm, spiritual, still. But I’ve realized: alignment isn’t about surroundings. It’s about structure. My peace comes from momentum. From ownership. From seeing my work take shape at scale.
BRÛLÉ: Issue Nº02 is a reset. The pant. The button-down. The NEW tank. The NEW boxer. All in black organic materials. Made to order. Zero waste. Editorial. Essential. Designed to live in, over and over.
This isn’t about launching a drop. It’s about stepping fully into what I was always meant to build. This time, it’s mine. All of it.
And if you’re reading this: you’re not just witnessing the shift. You’re early.
BRÛLÉ: Issue Nº02 launches April 29 — May 6.
Limited run. Made to order. Organic cotton. Produced in LA. Designed for everyday restraint. The store will open, then it will close. No leftovers. No restocks.
Thanks for reading. As always.
