What I’d Actually Invest In: Shoes & Bags Edition
Here’s what I’d actually splurge on (and what’s already stood the test of time).
I haven’t bought anything for myself in over a year.
I know I’ve teased, I’ve talked—but honestly? I’ve learned restraint. Every dollar right now goes toward building BRÛLÉ.
Brands send me things. Most of what I create revolves around style, presence, what lasts. And I’m grateful—it keeps my wardrobe fresh. But I haven’t actually shopped for myself in nearly two years.
Looking back at my over-spending era, only a few splurges were actually worth it.
I still wear them every single day.
Because here’s the thing—style isn’t about having more. It’s about having the right things.
The Pieces That Still Matter
Some purchases fade. Some stay. These stayed.
Khaite Arizona booties – Three years later, still my winter staple.
My Row purse from The RealReal – Four and a half years and counting; can’t find a picture of it on the internet bc it’s that old & that timeless.
My Prada 2000 Re-Edition Bag – This has been my everyday go-to since 2020. Sporty, but can be classy. Perfect size. No effort—just works.
I don’t need excess. I need things that last.
As I am going through this phase of not spending— this has only deepened my relationship with quality over quantity.
It’s not just something I say. It’s how I live.
What I’d Actually Invest in Next
When the time comes, here’s what’s on my radar—pieces I’ll wear for the next five to ten years. These aren’t just purchases. They’re foundations.
Because BRÛLÉ is built on this exact mindset. I design from experience—from the things I’ve had for years. The things that prove themselves over time.
Here’s what’s I have my eye on next…
Since I have a sick obsession with my Khaite Arizona booties, I already know what’s next.
Close enough to my Arizona to feel right—but just different enough to keep it interesting.
A small shift. A slight refinement. No need to reinvent what already works.
Because that’s the thing—when you know your style, you don’t chase. You adjust.
I do need her soon.
She’ll take over as my new everyday. Give my Prada 2000 Re-Edition a well-earned break.
Simple. Clean. The kind of bag that just makes sense.
You don’t overthink pieces like this. They just become part of you.
I love her. Obsessed.
An everyday go-to—but for the days you’re dressed a little up. She says MONEY without saying MONEY - does that make sense ?
I already know she’ll be one of those pieces I still love in five years.
Some things just stay.
She will be my “I’m not wearing black” baby.
I love the brown. I love the shape. Casual, but can be dressed up.
She stands the test of time—I can tell you that much.
She’s just hot.
I don’t care what anyone says.
When it’s summer, you will only find me in black flip-flops.
Now, I try to keep it classy—so I would invest in these. Because like I said, I wear a flip-flop daily.
Effortless. Old school. Timeless.
They just work. With denim and a tank. A button-down and shorts. Linen pants and a top. Whatever.
You will never find me not in black flip-flops.
I think I need these.
There You Have It
You’ve seen my wishlist.
I do have my eye on the Miu Miu x New Balance sneakers—but I kept this list with a 5-10 year span in mind.
If you’re looking to invest, I’d recommend any of these.
Just don’t cop my style. ;)

KB
